Fall Season weeks

We have been learning many thing about the fall season. The leaves start changing color, after they change color the wind starts to blow and they fall on the ground. Squirrels start to collect food for the long cold winter and we see fruits and vegetables that are particular to this season. Like corn, pumpkins, apples and nuts. The children got to work with candy corn, and some popped kernels to make a pop-corn hand similar to a scarecrow's hand. It was fun to see how the seed of the kernel turns in just 60 seconds into a delicious popcorn!

Exploring with shaving cream

During our color-rainbow week the children got an opportunity to explore with all their senses. Here we see them mixing shaving cream with the primary colors (red-yellow-blue). It was an awesome experience. They discovered that when they mix some colors together they crate a brand new color (secondary color) like purple, green and orange.
